I am also a victim of the misuse of 498a, but fortunately or unfortunately the case was quashed by the withdrawl of the complaint by the girl after her parents successfully extorted a huge amount from my family. As I could not fight the case in court, I did not learn much. I finally decided to fight against the menace and have filed a case for divorce and another for Extortion against the girl party recently. My little knowledge is derived from the internet only. I have attended a meeting of Bharat Bachao Sangathan at Kolkata and was amazed to the kind of selfless work Mr.Vineet Ruia and his team doing for the victims. I only wish, I can do something like that. I am from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. My mobile no. is 09246623460, off-0891-6660015, res.-0891-2569905.
